Judy ran in the 10km event on Saturday sporting her new pink skirt that she bought at the expo and finishing with a time of 1:18.
A cool start on Sunday found newbie’s to the half marathon enjoy their experience of running a flat course with ocean views. As the day warmed so did the support of the onlookers and supporters which left only one question on their minds. WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE??
Tahnee ran with Kirsty and made their goal time of 2:15
Mandy enjoyed her run but said that the last 4km seemed long, finishing in 2:27
Cherie and Veronnica ran together and said the atmosphere was amazing and loved the event, finishing in 2:41
Sally just missed her time from last year finishing in 1:58
Angela proved she was a true battler and ran 2:37 with her training less than favourable due to injury.
Tina felt fatigued by the 10km and found the event the most physically and mentally challenging event she has done and is wearing her finisher’s shirt with pride after not giving up. Way to go Tina – a true GGG!
Our clubs ultra marathoners backed up with the half at Gold Coast only 7 weeks after the 45km Great Ocean Road event.
Annette ran with a friend that was doing her first half finishing in 2:07
Colleen ran with Sally till the 16 km and finished in 2:00 and Donna ran a PB of 2:13
