It seems an universal law, that one's fitness will fluctuate throughout your running journey. Its natural that one's fitness varies - it happens to everyone. We are human and therefore not perfect (or machines). So when you don't feel as fit, or can't run for a period of time, don't be so hard on yourself.
Some times your body simply needs nurturing with rest and a recovery phase. Sometimes one door closes for another to open. Relax and trust in the process of life.
