Icing

If you suffer a niggle/strain/ pull or pain while out running - ice ASAP after the run to decrease any swelling and initiate healing.  Apply an ice pack for 15-20mins.  To maximise the benefits of icing - ice five times daily with at least 45 mins between each application.  Can continue for a few days, if persists seek medical help.
