Training Thoughts

Currently there are four copies of the Non Runner's Marathon Trainer, passing through the group for interested members to read.  This is simply a very informative book that really covers well  the issue of belief and mental stratagies to approaching your running training. 
This book  offers a training guide to run a MARATHON.  Can I suggest anyone interested in running a marathon and in particular, next year, take the time to read this book before the end of the year. 
 At the moment, the new Saturday group is training towards running Peak to Park, Toowoomba in March, next year.
 The established Saturday group is in maintainence mode - keeping up our distances and enjoying running for the sake of running. 
I suspect about January, I will invite more members to join Saturday running as some will be keen to add another day of training.
A few members have told  know their new goals for the new year and our Saturday programming in 2010 will be organised to cater for these goals. If you are contemplating a half marathon, remember I will do a separate info session and program for this group in the new year.   A calendar of   race events will be  available in the new year to help you consider what and when then I will write programs to provide the how! So if you have half marathon aspirations or 10K thoughts let me know and lets make dreams come true!
