Lynne's shares her thoughts about Sunday Oct 6th at the Toowoomba running event

Well to say I'm on a high is an understatement.

I know it was only 10km to you marathoners and half marathoners but to me it was an achievement
I never thought I could do.  ( Could I add a footnote - Lynne, we Runner's  truly respect any runner who runs any distance simply because you committed to the goal and had the courage to achieve it! )

When I started with Go Getta Girls last year I couldn't even run from one lamp post to the next. With the support and help and encouragement of you all I can't believe how far I have come.

Yesterday was quite nerve racking for me. Standing on the start line with Claire and Angela was quite daunting to say the least then bang before I knew it off we went. It was very warm and those hills were a killer. They just seemed to go on and on forever,

The comradeship of fellow runners was something to be believed, encouraging and supporting you when coming up from behind. The last km was the hardest I felt.

Claire did an amazing job so proud of her.

Angela you are an inspiration. You are a real pro and giving me those ittle tips whilst we were running was great as had absolutely no idea what to expect really.

Claire finished an amazing run then came and ran the last 500m with me which was wonderful crossing that line with your daughter, Made me very proud of her, Jaymee, my granddaughter was with us and she said "Grandma I am so proud of you".Made me quite teary.

Getting those chips off is really quite an effort at the end when you can't even think straight.

Colleen and Jen your support and help on the day was overwhelming and we both cannot thank you enough. All in all a great day, bring on the next event.

Dream big, believe and achieve is what I say and bring on the next event.
