Learn to Run Program

The great thing is you need no previous running experience and only a basic level of current fitness!

This program is once a week for six weeks and costs $50.

There is no obligation following the program, it simply provides the opportunity for you to see if you like running and wish to pursue it as an exercise option.

 At the end of the course you will know enough about technique basics to either continue running by yourself or you may wish to join Go Getta Girls Inc.

Please note: This program is a pre-requisite if you do wish to join the GGG Club.

 Within the six weeks you will learn techniques to
  • how to become a runner through a gradual sensible training program to suit your fitness level,
  • prevent injury and fatigue
  • the importance of hydration and nutrition,
  • recovery and stretching, 
  • how to activate your core,
  • how to warm up, 
  • how to prioritise your health and fitness , 
  • how to set goals and most importantly to ENJOY running. 
Each week different aspects of running are discussed, building your knowledge and confidence gradually.

At each session the participants are actively involved but these session simply involves approx 20 m shuttles practicing what you are learning.
At each session there may also be some mat work - learning how to engage your core muscles and how to stretch correctly. Therefore it suits all levels of fitness - we aren't even expecting you to run 1k!

That's the wonderful thing about running and that is anyone can do it IF you so desire to do it.

The program commences Tues Sept 3 @ 5:45am finishing each session @ 6:30am.  The program will continue each Tues until the school holidays (when there will be a two week stop) then recommence the following three weeks after the holidays
