What are you thinking?

As a runner, I assume you have realised  that the thoughts you entertain while running, do indeed, have a huge influence upon your perceived running effort.

These thoughts can affect your perception as to how well or maybe how terrible your run is going.

Yet how much time do you dedicate to the mental preparation/ training to improve your running efforts?

Simple positive affirmations can make all the difference during a run.  An affirmation can remind you why you are running, what your goal is and to perhaps keep your expectations realistic.  You are after all a human not a machine....

I am a runner and I run until the run is finished

I am a runner, a strong steady runner

I am a runner and I run with a happy relaxed mind

I am a runner and I feel energised
