The idea of Saturday training is to offer club members' the opportunity to run longer distances in order to fulfil goals such as participating in 10k, Half Marathon and Marathon events.
If you are not interested in these types of goals then you don't need to consider Saturday running. This session is purely optional - NOT all GGG's participate in this training session.
The program on Saturday is planned around club member's goals and is designed as a committed training program - it is NOT a "do drop in when you feel like it. This one session with the club is about committing to the training and achieving your running goals.
You need the time and the freedom to come consistently to Saturday sessions to be successful. If that's not the case - please remember there is always another time in your life when it might - we are runners for life. Opportunities and timing will eventually come into your favour - have faith!
If however you do like the idea of starting running on Saturdays - please attend the meeting on Wed Jan 23rd at 6:30pm at the clubhouse.
Requirements for Saturday running - A goal, a fuel belt (now selling at the clubhouse $45) and a mobile phone.
