Peter Janz update

It's a girl, Olivia Therese, born on Monday 8lb 11oz - at last a wonderful event to put a smile back onto the Janz's faces!

Peter is progressing well and Pauline plans to travel down each weekend to see him.  Peter has been transferred to the trauma ward from the ICU - so thankfully things are progressing in the right direction!

Peter was involved in a serious motor bike accident this morning, Monday May 23 outside Swickers.  Unfortunatley Peter was the motor bike and he has sustained serious injuries including fractured ribs, broken femur, broken eye socket and some bleeding on the brain as he hit the windscreen of the car that turned in front of him.  He is in an induced coma but was to be operated on tonight for his femur injuries.  So far, Pauline has not gone into labour. Her and their children are down in Brisbance with Peter at the PA Hospital in the intensive care unit.  Rob Firman drove them down.  Pauline's family from up North on way down. They have now arrived and taking care of the children.  Please pray for Peter tonight as I'm sure the next 24 hours will be unbearably difficult for all, waiting to know the possible outcome of this awful tragedy.

Tuesday update -  Peter is to have another operation but I don't know the time line for this.  He is still in an induced coma and to date Pauline has not had the baby.  Peter's condition has not deteriorated so signs are positive.

Wednesday update - Peter is doing ok.  The bleeding on the brain is smaller than first thought. Apparently his leg looks like a meccano set.  Pauline is considering returning to Kingaroy to have the baby.

Thursday - Doctors are happy with Peter's progress.  He had another operation on his leg and moved his arms yesterday.  Pauline has returned to Kingaroy to have the baby.
