Week in review

Most GGG are now settling into their new training programs with the required committment and consistency to achieve thier 2011 goals.

The Marathon girls this week ramped up thier weekly distances and have begun the earlier morning starts from the rest of the club.

This Saturday saw a change of venue because of the Food and Wine Festival with members congregating at Apex Park.  I'm sure the locals wondered what that "noise" was so early in the day!

It was lovely to catch up with Jane who ran with the club as she was back for the weekend.

A few GGG's are currently out of action with illness and we wish them a speedy recovery.

There is a committee meeting this week for all committee members and coaches. Interested members are welcome to attend.

Kerry and Colleen have begun thier studies with the funding finally arriving last week.  These coaches are completing thier Cert III and IV in Fitness.  The club will then have our very own personal trainers!

Jo has recently submitted another grant application this time to the Gaming Commission.  We are hoping to fund a Community Noticeboard for Memorial Park.

Last Wednesday night, Coach Colleen hosted a Resistance Band Workshop with good attendance.  We may have got a little side tracked with a version of the Time Warp done!  What do will the neigbours think!

After an information session on Monday night the 12 week weight loss challenge is going ahead - keep watch as some of our members shrink!

Oh, Wendy became a Grandmother is week - a baby girl, Kolbie Elizabeth 7lb 13oz! Congratulations!

LASTLY, the beginners' program finishes on Wednesday with 14 Ladies completing the course.  So from Thursday we will have BUDS (beginners under development) - remember our pay it forward policy - offer support and encouragement for the nervous new members.
