Last Wednesday's night session was well attended with many GGG members keen to know more about nutrition. Coach Colleen prepared a booklet of information about what to eat and how much to eat. The session included a brain storming of ideas as to how we can add more vegies to our diet. Not only how to eat more vegies at dinner but how to add more throughout our entire day. The session finished with information about how to fuel for long runs, what to eat before, during and after.
The next session during March will be about label reading and what those ingredients listed actually are. Find out what hydrogenated means, or what those preservatives are made from.....
The club thanks Colleen for her tireless efforts to gather information for our benefit , all who have attended any sessions that Colleen prepares, you must admit Colleen gives a lot to us very freely. However since Colleen is studying and adding to her many qualifications, the committee thinks it only fitting that Colleen should be charging for her time and knowledge. Hence all further nutrition sessions this year will be $10 per head. We hope that you will still attend as you know the standard and amount of information that is given at these sessions would certainly be worth every penny.
