Club Planning Workshop - WOW!

To say "terrific", would be an understatement about how the workshop went on Saturday afternoon. A very enjoyable afternoon was shared by 14 GGG's where the club's future was openly  discussed with valuable contributions made by all members.

A huge thank you must again go to Lisa who faciliated the workshop - our quiet little GGG - expertly controlled those rowdy GGG's and kept all on task. The club most certainly appreciates Lisa's time given to develop the workshop's program and for chairing the afternoon via her professional capacity. All agreed at the end of the afternoon that she had done a wonderful job - thank you.

The objectives of the workshop were to pool ideas to help develop
  •  the Club's strategic plan - where is the club going in the next 3-5years
  •  to review the Club's mission statement
  • to create the Club's vision
  • to consider an acronym to represent the Club's values
So what's next?
The Committee's task is now to compose a draft document from this wonderful melting pot of ideas, thoughts and actions brought forth during the workshop.  This draft will available for GGG members to view in 4 weeks time.

This document - the strategic plan - will set out the broad directions of the club over a relatively long time frame ie. 3-5yrs.  It's a road map - it will show the Club where it is going and how it is going to get there.  If we don't have a direction, how will we know we are heading in the right direction or know when we have arrived at our destination?

Finally a big thank you to all who attended - you were a part of  GGG History - helping to develop our first formal strategic plan - you all are incredible women and your contributions were heard, valued and documented.

Winner of the asic's voucher organised by Burton's Shoes was WENDY. Congratulations.

PS I will photocopy the soup recipe this week!
PPS Lisa - we had a vote - you are still a member of the Club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
