Colleen Nominated for South Burnett Sports Administrator 2010

A group of Go Getta Girls attended the South Burnett Regional Council 2010 Australia Day Awards Ceremony held at the Wondai Town Hall on Monday night to show their support for Colleen.
Colleen was presented with a Certificate of Achievement on the night.
Colleen was nominated for her generosity of time as an unpaid volunteer as President and Coach to Go Getta Girls Inc, Team Leader for ‘Relay for Life’ for the past two years, a fundraiser for Cancer research, supporter and fundraiser of Rotary Fun Ride/Run/Walk.
In 2006 Colleen initiated a women's learn to run group and successfully obtained a grant which provided water belts, hats and shirts for these women.
In 2008 Colleen implemented walk programs in association with Heart Foundation in Kingaroy.
Recently, Colleen worked and consulted on the committee for the “Come and Try” program in Memorial Park together with Rhealth and the South Burnett Regional Council. Colleen ran an activity each week during the six week program.
Mother of four school age children, Colleen is currently President of the Kingaroy State High School Parents and Citizens Auxiliary.
Colleen has managed to run regular beginners running courses and train up to 60km a week for her own running goals being two half marathons and a marathon in 2009.
Our coach really is Wonder Woman……..
