After completing the Relay on Sunday I spoke to 2 close friends of mine, mother and daughter. Mother is a breast cancer survivor and 29 year old daughter, (herself a mother of 2 very young children), is currently putting up a very brave fight. Over the past 12 mths she has had a complete mastectomy, chemo, radiation etc. and now has received the news that the cancer is also in her spine.
They both asked me to convey their heartfelt thanks, gratitude and congratulations to every team member. As they said it is people like you who make a difference.
