Yes our breakfast morning was a disguise for Julie's Invention - she has a drinking problem! Or so its seems the number of times she fell during runs this year so we took the opportunity to suggest that water really was the best drink for runners! Many GGG's were stung at our 3rd Birthday celebrations with tongue in cheek awards! As we said on the morning, just some fun at your expense!
Louise, Sarah and Kym - Look better in their running gear Award -This came about after we saw how they doll up for a girls' night out! (Please refer to the Games night)
Vicki - Bravery Award- for dealing with SB Times regularly as our Official Press Girl.
Leonie - recieved a new clock with a back up one for when the power goes off - no longer will she go for three days, living an hour behind the rest of Kingaroy! Oh did I mention the clock was made from a paper plate, no expense spared!
Korina - The bag! she looks too good in her skins - hence "The Body" Skins Award- I even discovered her photo on the front cover of the New Idea.
Kerry - Sleeping Beauty Award - dreaming of Colleen when she slept through the alarm one Saturday morning! Turns out it was Colleen on the phone saying are you running??????
Jane - a mention once again about her mishap from awhile back and how she now as her own separate key holder at the Clubhouse -after taking the wrong keys one morning and not realising until she was speaking to the RACQ man on the phone!
Ann - our own Miss Lamington 2009. Crowned on July 21st - Lamington Day!
Marian - The Purple Heart Award - continuing her role on the committee while out injuried in the line of duty! (recouping from a knee op)
Sam - The Maffia Award - she's our council contact- very handy!
Athol - The Womaniser Award - yes our favourite papparazzi - the only man we don't mind hiding and taking photo's of us! Now he has a digital key ring with lots of photos of the GGG's to impress his male friends!
Rhonda - the Encouragement award - just doing what we all need to do - regular consistent running - well done!
Desley - The Spirit of Go Getta Girls - embracing her personal running journey and the club's community spirit - she inspires us all.
A few new members also recieved their GGG caps - congrats to Louise, Kym and Jenni.
A big thank you to Lois for the wonderful birthday cake - very clever and ummm it tasted so nice - I did indulge in a few pieces later in the day!
A wonderful morning spent with a bunch of wonderful ladies and yummy pancakes - thanks Julie and Marian for the cooking on the morning.
